28日，美国新冠肺炎确诊病例累计超过了100万。
当天美国总统特朗普出席新闻发布会，并在回答记者关于美国新冠肺炎确诊病例超百万的问题时，将美国病例数量大的现状归因于“我们的检测数量比别国高得多”。
同时，这位总统依然对疫情的发展保持乐观：“它（病例数）最终会降为0的。”
U.S。 President Donald Trump said on Tuesday the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the U.S。“will go down to zero ultimately。” He was responding to a CNN reporter who asked about the number of cases in the U.S。 crossing the one million mark。
“So， we’re going to show more cases because we’re doing much， much more testing– double anybody else，” Trump added。“And it will be– at the appropriate time， it will be down to zero like we said。”
然后，再一次地，他为政府的抗疫不力找到了“接锅侠”。
特朗普称，许多优秀的专家曾认为疫情不会影响到美国与欧洲，所以政府听从了专家的建议，但专家们搞错了，很多人都搞错了，很多人都没有想到疫情会如此严重。
“Experts– very good experts， very good people too– said this would never affect the United States， it wouldn’t affect Europe， it wouldn’t affect anything outside of China。 So we were listening to experts， and we will always listen to experts， but the experts got it wrong。 A lot of people got it wrong， and a lot of people had no idea it would be this serious。”
希拉里：美国现在“没有一位真正的总统”在应对新冠疫情。
特朗普的“好心态”保持起来可不容易。
自特朗普在24日的白宫疫情发布会上澄清“消毒剂洗肺论”意在嘲讽现场记者之后，白宫的新冠疫情发布会已停开4日。而此前由于发布会冗长甚至出现“误导”信息，多家美国电台取消了直播。
《纽约时报》在《特朗普如何度过“被困”白宫的每一天》文章中描述，特朗普最近常因看电视而情绪不佳——“不管总统调到哪个台，都看不到帮他说话的人。就连福克斯这个以往让他倍感安慰的台现在也让人生气，因为他们对自己的描绘与他的期望不符。”

一边是舆论针对自己“抗疫不力”的批评，另一边有竞争对手“虎视眈眈”。
当地时间28日，在由美国前副总统、民主党总统候选人乔·拜登主持的一场主题为“新冠疫情对女性影响”的会议上，前国务卿希拉里·克林顿表示，美国现在“没有一位真正的总统”在应对新冠疫情。
她说，在此次疫情危机中，美国需要的“不是一个仅仅在电视上扮演总统的人”，而是一个“每天早晨醒来，都会为自己所领导的人民而担忧的人”。
同时，希拉里宣布支持拜登竞选美国总统，称拜登可以帮助引导美国摆脱新冠疫情危机。
美国民众值得拥有一位有同情心、有才能、且尊重科学的总统来应对疫情。我们需要科学来拯救生命、复苏经济。
Joe Biden， former U.S。 vice president and Democratic presidential candidate， hosted a town hall on April 28 where former Secretary of State Hillary Clintonsaid the U.S。 needs a“real president。”
“Not just somebody who plays one on TV， but somebody who gets up every morning， worried about the people that he is responsible for leading during this crisis，” she added。
She endorsed Joe Biden to be the U.S。 president， saying he has the compassion and competence to lead the country out of the coronavirus crisis。
福奇：新冠病毒定会卷土重来
4月28日，华盛顿经济俱乐部（Economic Club of Washington）举办了一场视频会议，第一个被采访的就是美国首席传染病专家安东尼·福奇。
当被问及今年晚些时候是否会有第二波新冠肺炎疫情来袭时，福奇表示，“在我看来，新冠病毒会不可避免的卷土重来。”他提示，“新冠病毒不会从地球上消失。”
当谈到重启经济的措施时，福奇强调，“如果过早地或者不成功地重启了经济，我们可能面临失控的局面，疫情可能会反弹到几周前的状况。因此我们必须十分谨慎，才能从封锁状态过渡到某种程度的正常状态。”
White House health adviser Dr。 Anthony Fauci on Tuesday warned of the coronavirus‘ return during an interview with The Economic Club of Washington。
“In my mind， it‘s inevitable that we will have a return of the virus， or maybe even that it never went away，” he said， adding that the U.S。“could be in for a bad fall” if effective treatments were not found by then to fight the virus。
Fauci also warned against the reopening of businesses， saying that premature and unsuccessful measures might lead to a rebound of the coronavirus outbreak。
“重启经济不能过早”，对于特朗普来说大概不会是容易接受的建议。
4月16日，特朗普宣布将分三阶段重启美国经济。对此福奇曾强调，重启经济的核心是保证公众安全。
但17日，特朗普连发三条推文支持民众反抗当地的封城措施和居家令。19日，全美多地爆发游行示威，数千人走上街头要求解除禁令尽快复工。
28日，美国北卡罗来纳州的一群抗议者第三次聚集在该州首府罗利市市中心抗议政府的居家令。而就在26日，该示威活动的组织者之一被确诊新冠，就在两周前她曾参加了另一场游行。
这又是专家的错吗？
