香港教育局11月18日宣布，鉴于路面和交通仍有不稳定因素，并给予学校充分时间为复课做好准备，全港幼稚园、小学、中学和特殊学校明日继续停课。
教育局还表示，按现时情况，中小学及部分特殊学校计划于周三（11月20日）恢复上课。
连月来的暴力活动，让“暴力之火”烧向了香港的校园。
11月17日，暴力分子集聚在香港理工大学一带大肆破坏，用砖头、汽油弹、弓箭及钢珠等攻击警方防线。一名传媒联络队队员被暴徒的箭射中小腿；还有一名防暴警员被钢珠击中面罩近鼻梁位置。

一名学生在朋友圈发文，记录下了这节让人“永生难忘的宪法课”：“有人纵火‘救港’，我们读书报国。”
Over the past days， rioters wreaked havoc on campuses across Hong Kong。 Confronting the chaos， students and teachers used their own way to fight against violence。A student from the City University of Hong Kong（CityU） last Monday shared video footage of an“unforgettable class” online， which later went viral。 In the video， Priscilla Leung Mei-fun， Associate Professor of the Law School at CityU taught a class while the fire alarm was ringing。 On that day， rioters vandalized facilities on campus and made the fire alarms ring to interfere with teaching activities。 Leung did not let herself be disturbed by the ongoing noise and continued her lecture for the students。“So the reason that we insist to go on is becausewe don‘t want to give a message that people would give in because of violence，” said Leung。

视频中，一名香港暴力示威者朝市民投掷燃烧瓶后溜回学校，被一名外国人当场逮住痛——
“你是不是在破坏这座城市？”
“那些与你意见不同的人，你就殴打他们、谋杀他们，用火烧他们吗？”
“你这种被惯坏的孩子，父母没教过你怎么正确地为人处事吗？”
面对一连串的质问，该男子先是小声地回答“不是”，而后无言以对回避了这名外国人的镜头。
一位自发参与清理路障的香港市民说——
“现在暴徒已经毫无底线，我们不能再沉默下去了，现在一定要勇敢地站出来。”勇敢站出来，表达大部分市民的共同心声——“还我安宁生活”。
